All concrete work is now finished on the new stairs and the new sign. UP Fab will install the handrails in about a week. The sign is projected to be delivered July 8. The sign update is scheduled to be complete by July 15 if it is delivered ontime.
The Negaunee Public Schools have announced the 2026 NPS Hall of Fame Inductees. Congratulations to Dan Skewis and the family of the late Mark Setterlind who have been chosen this year.

Concrete pour on Tuesday, weather permitting . The old sign is coming down today.
The Negaunee Irontown Association will honor the 1976 Class C State Runner Up Basketball Team during Pioneer Days this year and to recognize the team’s accomplishments, Coach Dave Hallgren, joined by his wife, Judy, will be the Grand Marshal for the parade.

Final concrete pour of the steps is scheduled for Monday, June 15.

Concrete was ready to pour. Next week the stairs will be formed.

This week the new stairs will be poured, weather permitting.
The demolition of the front stairs has begun in order to make room for new ones. Stay tuned for updates.

Sunday School teachers were recognized on Sunday on the last day of Sunday School for the 2025-2026 school year. Thank you for all you do!
On Sunday, May 17, we celebrated our 2026 high school graduates. Pictured are Charlie Smith, Derek McEachern, Josie Carlson, and Reyna Debelak. Those not pictured are Emmeline Chaudier, Madison Lambertson, Rheana Nelson, Victoria Poutanen, Liliana Saunders, and Aiden Steele. Congratulations!

Elyza recently completed her medical degree from Michigan State University. Prayers to her as she starts her residency with Henry Ford Healthcare Systems.
Congratulations to Dave Hallgren who recently won the Lions Single District 10 Ralph Sheehan award!
Immanuel had a conference wide lock in for youth on Friday, January 23 into Saturday, January 24. Over 20 kids participated from around the UP. Fun was had by all!

The Negaunee Elks Lodge #1116 held an awards dinner on Saturday, April 18. One of those honored was Jaime Crabb, Elk of the Year.
Congratulations to Liliana Saunders for being awarded UPSSA Honorable Mention - Girl’s Basketball!
Congratulations to Emmeline Chaudier and Lili Saunders who placed at the BPA State Leadership Conference in Grand Rapids for Negaunee High School!
Cody Scanlon was recently named one of the Negaunee Public Schools Outstanding Educators for 2026. Congratulations Cody!
This past weekend a group of youth from around the UP traveled to Wisconsin Dells to share fellowship and worship along with having some fun.
The following members have been recognized as Excellence in Education Scholars for the NHS Class of 2026: Rheana Nelson and Liliana Saunders. Liliana Saunders was also named the Co-Valedictorian of the Class of 2026.

Twenty-two new members were welcomed at Immanuel during the 9:30 am service on January 18. Welcome!
On Sunday, January 11, we celebrated Connie's music ministry for and among the people of Immanuel Lutheran and in Glory to God as our organist for the last 50 years. Thanks be to God and thank you Connie for your wonderful and faithful contribution to our life together!

The Property Committee helped to put together some new tables for the Sunday School that were paid for from the Endowment Fund.

The Sunday School children performed during the 9:30 am service on Sunday, December 14. They did a great job! Thank you to all who helped to make this program successful.

The Pastor at Yombo in Tanzania was recently ordained.

We collected food during the month of November to coincide with the TV6 Canathon. All donations were brought to St. Vincent de Paul. There were about 200 items in total donated. Thank you for your contributions to our Can A Thon Food drive.

Stacy McEachern was installed as our new Youth Ministry Coordinator during the 9:30 am service on November 23.

On November 23, Pastor Bre welcomed anyone who would like to come forward for a healing prayer and annointing.

The Sunday School students began their prep for the Christmas concert.
Immanuel youth, Derek McEachern & Rheana Nelson were named NHS Homecoming King & Queen. Both of these amazing young people have excelled in school, sports, and remained active in our youth group throughout their high school career!
The Conference 8 Youth took a trip to the Hayes Corn Maze in Rock. It was a beautiful fall day for fun outside!

A group of Immanuel members walked in the Crop Walk to end hunger one step at a time. The group walked about 1.25 miles to help raise money. A total of $6,926 was earned with $891 coming from Immanuel. Thank you for anyone that donated.

Our new equipment is here. New screens and speakers have been installed. Thank you to Range for their great work!

On Sunday, September 28, the Sunday School children studied the Days of Creation and drew pictures of the creations God has made. As they celebrated the 7th day, they rested.

On Tuesday, September 16 the Social Ministry Committee including Linda S. Sue C., Virginia P., and Fae C. assembled 50 school kits for LWR.
