The purpose of this committee is to lead our congregation in extending Christian compassion and helpfulness to the ill, the aged, the orphaned, the underprivileged, the homeless, the imprisoned and, in general, to persons of all ages in need of aid in body or soul.
The purpose of this committee is to evoke and promote the expression of Christian faith in the stewardship of all of God’s gifts in daily living.

The Companion Congregation Committee of Immanuel held a Companion Congregation Service on Pentecost, Sunday, June 8, 2025. This service is held annually with Yombo Lutheran Church, our companion congregation in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In addition to the service there was Tanzanian food items and a silent auction during our fellowship hour.
In addition to fun, the silent auction was held to raise “seed money” to help bring a delegation of 8-10 people from Yombo Lutheran Church to visit Immanuel in 2027. We did this for 2 weeks in 2018 and were blessed to grow personal relationships with our Christian brothers and sisters in faith literally half way around the world! Thank you for your support of this future goal.
